Hi there;

I love Delicia. It's a perfect theme for me. However, I'd like to know if there's an option to add an "Edit Page" function, as I'm always updating pages and posts, and it'd be easier for me to do it "on the fly," rather than having to go back to the admin panel, search for each page and then edit. Is there a fix for this?

Best,

I’ve probably spent two years searching for a theme that would work for my writing site. Yours is about as perfect as they come. I’ve had the same problem as an earlier poster, Delicia, concerning the first line being uppercase. I tried the suggested correction but everything went to uppercase. I’ll experiment more with the CSS but I ‘m so happy with the theme, I may learn to live with that small distraction. Thanks again.

Hi..I really like this template and I'm comfortable working with PHP and CSS. I would like to change the "About" page layout so that it does not include the sidebar. How do I go about doing that?

Kind regards,
Marlee

Thanks a lot. When I used the WP widget search form, it didn't validate for Strict. Don't have enough on my site yet to warrant a search form, but your code is now in my sidebar--commented out and good to go!

Hi Mitch, I'm afraid you'll have to do some editing. My advice is to keep the widgets (you never know when you'll need them) and, instead, delete the content displayed by default.
First, it's a good idea to make a backup copy of your actual sidebar.php file. Then spot the things you want to get rid of and delete the code from the starting

tag to the closing

. Make sure you don't delete something else. If you're having any trouble, just drop me a line and I'll send you a new sidebar.php file.

Hi, Haris, I'll send you an email with instructions.
Later edit
Apparently, the email address you provided wasn't valid. This is the message i sent:

Hi, Haris,here's the answer to your questions:
1. the search title

Edit sidebar.php and spot this code:

Then replace all the 3 instances of Search... with your desired title. Please make sure you don't remove the quotes

2. the xhtml tags

This isn't actually an issue, it only informs the readers what are the tags they're allowed to use in their comments.

If you want to make that line disappear, you'll need to edit the comments.php file and spot this line:

XHTML: You can use these tags:
<?php echo allowed_tags(); ?>

it's in the lower part of the document, just above the

tag.

You can either simply delete it, or replace it with this:

This code is a commented version of the previous; it tells browsers that they shouldn't display the commented version. Actually this is the code proposed by 99% of the WordPress themes available.

Best regards,
Delicia

Hi Delicia, I have been searching wordpress theme simple and clean looking. Finally I got what want, it's OrangeJuice. Initially I got some uppercase writing, but it solved.

Thanks very much for your great works.
